“Don’t Want to Lose It”(2024) is a durational moving
meditation on (black) hope, resiliency, and grief
using the shared choreography of the Electric Slide and the sequel to my performance piece "You Gotta Know It." The work was commissioned by Colby College and I was accompanied by dancers ruby
onyinyechi amanze, Jennifer Ligaya, Allie James and Tyerra Osborne. The
performance's soundscape was created in collaboration with Elise Hernandez.
